North Carolina’s housing market has become hot over the past couple of years, with thousands of people moving to the state.  The community is named after the natural gap at Fire Scale Mountain, where the Blue Ridge Parkway crosses over the amazing US 421. Deep Gap is famous for being the location Daniel Boone spent most of his life and the birthplace of the influential guitar player, Doc Watson. The community of Deep Gap is located in Watauga County, watauga means “whispering waters”.  Here you can easily find a lot or home next to a beautiful stream to enjoy the warm mountain breezes and inviting smiles of the local residents.  It is hard to find a better place to call home, than in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
