History of Lansing, NC

The town of Lansing was incorporated on May 16, 1928. This town used to be a popular one because of two train stations. The “Virginia Creeper” stopped here, as well as Todd, West Jefferson, Lansing, and White Oak. In addition, there were two cheese factories and iron mines. The town has since slowed down, thus making it a popular place for new residents to move to.
